Councils embrace “Kickstarter planning”

Something intriguing is afoot. Just 18 months after hundreds of you started crowdfunding parks, playgrounds and public WiFi networks, councils are getting behind people-powered regeneration in a big way.

An ambitious partnership has been formed between all 32 London Boroughs and Spacehive, with the aim of pumping cash and creativity into the capital’s streets.

Together we’re brokering multi-million pound match-funding schemes with companies and grant bodies to fuel Londoners’ project ideas.

Itching to sling a zipwire across the Thames, restore your local park to loveliness, or play piano on the towpath?

Upload your idea now and watch this space – some meaty match-funding is on its way.

It’s time to unleash the capital’s creativity onto its streets.

Looking for her next big adventure she joined Spacehive as their Content Marketing Manager. Here she works the words whether describing the awesome potential of a civic crowdfunded future or outlining the many dazzling features of our grant-making software.
